Creative Colors Challenge #22

Hi bloggers and crafty friends!  I am coming to you today as part of the design team for the Creative Colors Challenge to share my latest creation.  This was the inspiration photo and color palette for the challenge:

We had to choose 3 colors from the spools and add laces.  Here is my card:

I started with a foundation of layers of vellum, gold, and then green paper.  I adhered various types of white lace over the card stock and added the pearl trim to the sides and blue trim to the center of the card.  I chose the image called Vintage Lamp Post to feature from our sponsor, Doodle Pantry,   which I colored, inked the edges of, and adhered with foam tape for dimension.  I added a piece of bling and glued the purple and gold flowers from Secret Garden.  Hope you like it!

Addicted to Glass Etching with Etchall®!

Hi bloggers and crafty friends.  As you know, I am honored to be a Busy Bee Ambassador for the premiere glass etching product in the world, Etchall®.  It is so easy to use and you get a completed project in minutes!  Once you do your first etched project, you will be hooked like me!  The etching creme is reusable too, so a bottle with last a long time.  The possibilities are endless with Etchall® and etched projects make popular gifts since they can be personalized. The next project I do will feature a step by step pictorial how to, but for now, please enjoy some of the projects I created using my new favorite craft product, Etchall® etching creme.

I found this decanter at Goodwill (an inexpensive place to find things to etch) and etched a damask design on the front and my monogram on the back.

To finish this off, I decorated with some bling and sheer ribbon, what do you think?

Another project that I did along the same line as the decanter is this darling pitcher that I also found at Goodwill.  Here is the pitcher after I etched with Etchall® and added some bling.

If you would like to try Etchall® and get addicted to something new like me, here is a coupon code for you to use at www.etchall.com.  Please be sure to add my name Kim Norman in the referred by box.  I would love for you to share photos of your etched masterpieces here too!  :)

Creative Colors Challenge # 21

Hi bloggers and crafty friends!  I am excited to announce that I have been selected to be a member of the Design Team for the Creative Colors Challenge!  I can't wait to work with this wonderful and talented group of ladies!  This is my first project done as part of the DT team and I really hope you like it!  I would love for you to play in the challenge too, here is the link:  http://creativecolorschallenge.blogspot.com/

This is the color palette/inspiration photo and the challenge was to use orange, brown, ocean green, and die cuts.

Here is what I came up with...

I triple matted the background with 2 shades of orange and brown and then did a layer of brown glitter paper.  I sprayed the honeycomb die cuts, put my colored image from Bugaboo Digi Stamps (www.bugaboostamps.com) with foam tape for added dimension (after fussy cutting it), used a bronze corner embellishment on the top corner.  I made a bow with brown chiffon ribbon for the bottom corner and then sprayed my flowers, added glossy accents to the petals and sprinkled with brown glitter.  I think this is a great fall card for a special girlfriend!  Thanks for stopping by...
