Creative Colors Challenge #29
Hi bloggers and crafty friends! Today, I would like to share with you a card I created for the Creative Colors Challenge. I would also like to invite you to participate in the challenge as well, check it out here:
Creative Colors Challenge
For this challenge, here is the inspiration photo:
We had to use pastel pink, pastel yellow, and pastel blue plus use design patterns from the photo.
The sponsor for this challenge is DRS designs
I used their awesome digi image as the focal point of my card. Here is what I made:
I loved this image of Rosie the Riveter, so decided to give her a shabby chic make over. I love that she symbolizes female empowerment too! For the background, I layered pastel pink, then pastel blue and white striped Teresa Collins paper, then a floral print card stock, then a die cut made from white and pastel yellow card stock and finally added a white paper doily that I stamped polka dots on before adding the image that I colored ( and adhered with foam tape for dimension). For the embellishments, I added small pink crystals throughout, yellow organza and pastel blue and white gingham ribbon to Rosie's bandanna, glued pastel blue flower trim to the sides and added some small pink flower buds to the bottom with more ribbon. I layered the stamped sentiment in various card stocks and used foam tape to give it dimension.
I hope you like my card, thanks for stopping by and looking! Have a wonderful day and don't forget to play along in this challenge with us!

Key To My Heart-Altered Valentine Canvas
As Valentine's Day is approaching and is one of my favorite holidays, I am excited to share my altered canvas with you that I made for Creating With Details, I call it "Key To My Heart". It was inspired by one that the talented Mai Larsen designed at Christmastime, where she turned the canvas around making the back the front. This is my take on her concept, I hope you like it!
This is the front of the project:
This is back of the project:
You can hang this canvas on either side or even like you would an ornament so that both sides will show.

I am excited to share another creation I made for the Creative Colors Challenge. I hope you will play along on this challenge and make a great card yourself!
Creative Colors Challenge
We had to use pink+blue+white and add flowers and a sentiment. Here is what I created:
The wonderful tea cup digi that I used was donated from our generous sponsor:
Robyns Fetish
I layered blue and pink paper and then clear acetate with a damask pattern from my personal stash to make the base of my card. I colored the image with colored pencils and adhered it to the card with foam tape for dimension. I hot glued some white beads in the centers of the roses and a pearl on the handle of the tea cup. I then stamped my sentiment and added the word tea in blue and applied foam backed tape to that as well. I then glued some pink tulle and white and pink flowers from Secret Garden. Lastly, I used a piece of white lace behind my sentiment from Creating With Details.
I am very blessed to be a part of this very talented team and want to wish them all a very Happy First Anniversary! Please stop by each of their blogs and show them some love to.
