In My Heart: An Altered Mini Folio for Valentine:s Day

Hello everyone, Kim. here today to share a fun project with your for Valentine's Day featuring some of the products from ScraPerfect.  My concept was to create something pretty to hold a love letter written for your sweetie on the day that celebrates love.  Here is what I came up with:

I started by cutting down a printed folder and used the Best Glue Ever to adhere all of my embellishments to the folio.  It worked well on the ribbon, metal bow, and white dangle lace.
I always have a No Clog Writing Cap on my glue for extra precision.  A little goes a long way and I suggest making small dots and waiting about 5 minutes until they turn clear before adding your embellishment.  I also added a chipboard quote to the top of my folio, some bling,  and a charm.  I added a fabric button to the center of my metal bow as well.  I felt that this folio would be perfect to hold a love letter that you write for that special someone on Valentine's Day!

As always, when finishing a project, I give my hands a couple of squirts of the Best Cleaner Ever to get any mess off quickly.  It's non toxic and works on anything you can think of!

Thank you all for stopping by today to check out my mini folio called In My Heart.  Please be sure to go visit ScraPerfect to get your own products for your craft desk.  Subscribe to the blog too while you are there please.  To see more of my work, my blog is Vintage Rose Creations by Kim.  I hope you will try a mini folio and write your sweetheart a love letter to go in it for Valentine's Day too!

A New Year with ScraPerfect!

Hi everyone, Kim. here  today to wish you all a Happy New Year and share my latest project for ScraPerfect.  I created a simple card for New Year's that I am excited to share with you, please take a look at the completed project:

I began with a blank card base, and added some tea dyed vintage paper with the
Best Glue Ever with a No Clog Writing Cap attached for precision  Remember, a little goes a long way and the bond is amazing! I swiped that and the edges with some Tim Holz distress inks from my stash and then fussy cut the images I selected.  I embellished the images with stickles and added some bling that I placed with  Embellie Gellie and secured with the Best Glue Ever. Continuing with my layering, I added a vintage doily lightly swiped with lavender ink, a number one, a ribbon bow, and some ephemera and a Tim Holz chipboard quote from my stash.

As always, when finishing a project, I give my hands a few squirts of the Best Cleaner Ever and use a paper towel to get the ink and adhesives off.  I love it since it is non toxic.  This project was fun and quick to make and I'm sure would make the recipient happy to open. Here is a closer look at some of the details I added to my card:

Time saved and ease of creativity were possible because of the products from ScraPerfect.  Thank you so much for stopping by, please take a moment to subscribe to this blog and follow us on social media.  I wish you all a safe and blessed New Year!

My First Creation for Simply Too Create

Hi everyone, I am excited to announce that I am a part of the Simply Too Create Team for 2019!  I have made a card with a digi for my first project and am excited to share it with you.  Here is what I created:

I started with a blank ivory card and an image, which I stamped with black Staz On ink.  Then I colored and fussy cut the image. I sprayed the blank card with a Tattered Angels spray. I then used Twinkles paint by Deco Art over the image and set aside to dry.  I grabbed a vintage doily from my stash and attached it to the card with the Best Glue Ever by ScraPerfect.  As embellishments, I added some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and small pink bling to the image.  I attached the image with foam pop dots from my stash.  I also added a bow from organza ribbon from the Dollar Tree with a pearl center.  I secured this with hot glue. A chipboard quote from Tim Holz finished my card off with the sentiment which was attached with hot glue. I was inspired to select this image by the show "Outlander" and am pleased with how it turned out.
