ScraPerfect Makes Clean And Simple Cards Quick and Easy!

Hi there!  I am here today to share two quick and easy, clean and simple cards that I made with the help of the products from ScraPerfect.  I have seen many out there posting quick and easy cards and thought I would challenge myself to make some too.  Clean and simple cards are also a challenge for me since I love embellishments!  I am stunned that the only supplies I needed was 3 sheets of 12 by 12 paper, some sequins and buttons, white ribbon,  the Best Glue Ever and Embellie Gellie.
I even had some of the paper left over!  Here are the cards I created:

I began by cutting a sheet of yellow 12 by 12 paper into 2 card bases.  I then choose some paper by Illustrated Faith and cut out the pieces that I wanted to add to my card.  I used the

Best Glue Ever with the large No Clog Writing Cap on top to apply tiny dots to the paper pieces and then secure to my cards.  This step was made easier since all of my paper stuck to the card stock very well since the Best Glue Ever has the best stick factor out there!

To quickly add some embellishments to my cards, I grabbed some small buttons and sequins and my

Embellie Gellie and was able to place them perfectly on my cards.  I love this product sine I don't have to worry about dropping tiny pieces or accidentally getting them stuck in the glue.  Look at how easy it is to use:

As a finishing touch, I made 2 bows out of white organza ribbon and added them to my cards with a large glue dot of the Best Glue Ever.  I added a button to the bow centers and since they were a bit heavier on the bow, I waited until my glue dot cured and was clear before attaching the bows to the cards.  I think they give my cards the perfect touch.  I think my clean and simple cards came out pretty cute and were definitely quick and easy thanks to ScraPerfect!  Here is a closer look at both of my cards, I hope you like them:

Tr Stampin On Tuesday Card Challenge 411

Hi there!  Today I am sharing my first card for June as a Guest Designer for the card challenge blog, Try Stampin On Tuesday.  Please check out the challenge out and play along.  The design for this card is based on the sketch below and had the option to be vintage/grunge style.

I gathered up some inks, sprays, and vintage themed papers from one of my favorite paper pads and created this card.  I have made many things vintage as it is one of my favorite styles, but the grunge aspect is newer to me, so this truly was a challenge for me.  This is the card I made:

To begin, I sprayed my card base with the Vintage Photo Distress Oxide spray and heat set it.

Then, I cut my vintage printed card stock pieces and swiped with the Frayed Burlap distress ink and the Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink pads and heat set that as well.  I wanted the paper to be the main focus, so I kept my embellishments to a minimum.  I added a small doily that was also sprayed and placed a vintage button in the center of the doily.  A trio of vintage buttons were also added to the top right of my card.  For added interest, I also used the caramel Nuvo Drops in the center of some of the buttons.  I hope you like my take on vintage/grunge and appreciate you stopping by today.

Witchy Fun!

Hello!  I am here today to share with you a little Halloween project that I made with some of the wonderful products from ScraPerfect.  This is the top half of my creation, keep reading to see the rest...

I started out with a white five by seven canvas, which I painted a coat of Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam in silver on.  I also painted a paper mache star black and added the Glimmer Glam and a few spritzes of white spray on it too.

Using my machine, I cut out the die cut design and used a very small amount of adhesive to attach it to the canvas. With the Best Glue Ever, you truly on need the tiniest dot.  To help ensure you don't waste glue, attach the No Clog Writing Cap to the top of the bottle.  When you are done and put the top for the writing cap on, it will keep your glue bottle from clogging too!

I adhered the die cut to the canvas and then added a large glue dot to the top in the center.  I tied some black lace and gingham ribbon in a knot and put it on top of the glue dot, pressing lightly.  For further embellishment, I tied some black and white bakers twine through the holes of a button and added that to a rosette, which I attached to the center of the bow.  I added some Dew Drops from The Robins Nest to the canvas as embellishment too using Embellie Gellie.  I actually misplaced the stick that came in the package, but never fear!  I grabbed another stick from my stash and just made another one, easily possible because of the generous amount in the package.

The canvas was now ready for the star, which I planned to dangle from the bottom with bakers twine.  But first, I attached another rosette to the center with an embellished button.  I then embellished it with more Dew Drops.  I added 2 black tassels and some white eyelash trim to dangle from the bottom of the star.

I used a medium sized glue dot to attach the dangling star to the canvas to make one piece.

My final step is always to give my messy hands a few spritzes of the non toxic Best Cleaner Ever.
